About Me

My passion for aviation began in 1999 when I took my first flying lesson at the age of 15. That experience sparked a lifelong love of flying and eventually led me to a career as a full-time flight instructor. For the past four years, I have dedicated myself to helping students become safe, confident, and proficient pilots through personalized, professional instruction.

My career path has been anything but ordinary. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University and initially worked in the criminal justice system before transitioning into children’s psychology and behavior. Those experiences strengthened my communication skills, patience, and ability to adapt my teaching style to each individual student—qualities that have become invaluable in the cockpit.

In addition to flight instruction, I spent time flying as a First Officer on the CRJ for a regional airline. While I enjoyed the airline environment, I realized my true passion was teaching and mentoring aspiring pilots. I made the decision to focus on building my own aviation business, allowing me to provide high-quality, individualized instruction and help students achieve their aviation goals.

Outside of aviation, I was recently married and am the proud father of two children. I grew up in Michigan’s Thumb and now call Mid-Michigan home. When I’m not flying, you’ll likely find me behind a camera capturing nature and aviation photography, tying flies for my next fly fishing trip, or cheering on Detroit’s professional sports teams.

Whether you’re taking your very first discovery flight or working toward an advanced certificate, my goal is to make your training enjoyable, efficient, and centered around becoming a safe, knowledgeable pilot. I believe every student deserves instruction tailored to their learning style in a professional, encouraging environment, and I look forward to being part of your aviation journey
